![]() Just on its latest version as of writing this review, which is version 2.35 (includes parts 1 and 2), there are 131 jobs and 190 different races available (its job system alone has more depth and options than any other. There is even a synthesize system which allows players to create more powerful equipments with ingredients found in chests, dropped by enemies, etc. The feeling of progress in Paradox is constant and very addicting: from the new characters that the player has recruited, or the new equipment they have found (which there is an immense amount of, ranging from weapons such as spears and swords to harps and fans, with each weapon type having a specific bonus that helps differentiate them from others, and many carrying special effects), or the more advanced races and jobs that characters can select upon reaching the max level on their previous ones (which also often require the player to find a specific key item, which balances things and heavily encourages exploration), or the various skills and abilities that characters acquire upon leveling their specific race or job. It has a job system which gives characters a vast array of customizability, and its race system (a second category of "jobs" that characters have a limited amount of to switch between, based on their own nature and appearance) plus characters' unique traits (which function as exclusive passives that each character possesses) give them specific strengths, making for a perfect balance between customization and character identity. Each monster has their own personality, likes and dislikes, and can bring something different to your party. In Paradox, every enemy, including bosses, can be recruited and talked to (similar to the demon negotiation system in the Shin Megami Tensei series, though much less frustrating), a feature which makes battles feel much more interactive and rewarding when compared to other JRPGs. ![]() Monster Girl Quest! Paradox RPG is a JRPG developed by Torotoro Resistance and released in 3 different parts or chapters (as of the time of this review, the final and third part has yet to be released).
